Sepideh Rashidi is an Iranian born, London based artist who has lived in the UK for more than half her life. This duality between heritage and contemporary life is felt throughout her work. Her creative journey began with an instinctive need to express emotion through colour, gesture, and movement, shaping the intuitive approach she continues to follow today.
Drawing from memory, identity, and lived experience, she creates work that acts as a visual diary. Painting becomes a way of understanding and translating emotion into something bold, expressive, and alive.
My art style is a bold mix of surrealism, realism, and contemporary pop, influenced by minimalism and inspired by surrealism, hyper realism, and Persian miniature paintings. My work explores the space between imagination and reality, blending expressive gestures with structured composition.
Colour, movement, and symbolism play a central role in my practice. I create instinctively, allowing emotion and energy to guide each piece. Through this process, I aim to capture moments of transformation, curiosity, and self discovery, inviting the viewer into an immersive visual experience.
My workshops are designed as open, expressive spaces where creativity flows freely. I guide participants through intuitive painting techniques, encouraging them to explore colour, movement, and emotion without pressure or rigid rules.
Inspired by my own process, these sessions focus on experimentation, confidence, and personal expression. Whether you are a beginner or experienced artist, the goal is to connect with your creativity, embrace spontaneity, and leave with a piece that reflects your own unique voice.
I run regular painting workshops for all skill levels — come paint with me.
